Alex K is a two-time Emmy Award winner and an electronic musician/video artist from the northeast USA who has been producing and performing techno industrial music since 1999. His music is characterized by heavy, driving breakbeats, distorted leads and aggressive acid synth lines mixed with lush ambient pads and pianos.
Alex's love of electronic music began when his friend Greg made him a mixtape of Front 242 tracks in 1997 and has only grown since at local music stores, concerts and underground parties. He was inspired by the shows to create his own unique sound using drum machines, sequencers, synthesizers and samplers - initially using only hardware (because DAWs didn’t really exist at the time!) but then moving with technology to laptop performances (viva Ableton, Cubase and Nuendo!) and since 2021, a return to only hardware performances!
In addition to his musical output, DG is also an accomplished video artist, creating stunning visuals to accompany his live performances. His video work often features abstract shapes and textures, juxtaposed with footage of urban decay and industrial landscapes.
Over the years, Alex has performed at numerous clubs and festivals throughout the USA, Canada and Europe, sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in the techno industrial scene. His latest works are a blistering collection of tracks that showcase his mastery of both music and visual art.
