Close your eyes and imagine traveling through space. Weightless and drifting, space is a very large and empty area where the chances of something going wrong are greater than the chances of something going right. This track and the companion track “A Divine Gift” explore the mood accompanying that line of thought – forbidding, arcane, suspenseful. The title “Pulsar” was chosen because of the way a true pulsar acts in nature and the sounds accompany that with a plethora of noisy oscillating warbles.
More of a connector track than a true song for the album, this track really does bring some hefty ambience. Lots of drones and pulsing sounds give you an idea of what’s to come with the next track.
